Geofence is an assist, not a gate
Updated Jul 2, 20263 min read
Auto check-in is a convenience. A pro can always log a visit manually, so location trouble can never block recorded work.

Mowdew can check a pro in automatically when they arrive at a property, using a small per-visit geofence around that home. It is a convenience — nothing more. It exists to save a tap, never to decide whether work counts.
How the geofence helps
When auto check-in is on, arriving inside the property's radius offers to start the visit; leaving offers to close it. It saves your pros a tap on a busy route.

Why it can never block you
Bad GPS, a dead battery, or no signal happens. When it does, your pro checks in and out by hand — the visit is recorded exactly the same way. Location trouble can never stop work from being logged.
An assist, never a gateA provider must always be able to log a visit manually. This is a core rule of the platform — recorded work is never blocked by location.
